Warner's cartoon The Night Watchman is released. It is the first cartoon credited to Chuck (Charles M.) Jones.
1942:
MGM's Woman of the Year opens. The film is the first co-starring Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. The two went on to make a total of nine films together.
1961:
Meg Ryan is born Margaret Mary Emily Ann Hyra in Fairfield, Connecticut.
