The world of comedy suffers a great loss as Phil Hartman is shot dead by his wife, Brynn, who then takes her own life. Though Hartman's contributions to filmdom are not extensive or memorable (note: he did write Pee-wee's Big Adventure), his comedic talent was undeniable.
