Future horror fave Vincent Price is born in St Louis, Missouri.

1922:

Christopher Lee is born in London. His early career prominently devoted to horror films, Lee goes on to be a member of some of the milestone film franchises (Lord of the Rings, James Bond, Star Wars, Dracula, Sherlock Holmes).

1933:

Walt Disney's cartoon Three Little Pigs is released. Winner of the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. The song "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?" becomes the first hit song to come out of a cartoon.

1936:

Academy Award-winner Louis Gossett, Jr. (An Officer and a Gentlemen) is born in Brooklyn.

1950:

MGM's cartoon Ventriloquist Cat, directed by Tex Avery, is released.
