Imagine a sequel to Beaches where Bette Midler's character is a premier New York City Chef and has to take care of her recently deceased sister's daughter. You now have a rough idea of the plot for Catherine Zeta Jones's newest film, No Reservations.

Hollywood is also apparently not waiting for the body to be cold before picking over the corpse of foreign films to remake, as this is a re-imaging of the 2001 Italian film Mostly Martha.

Catherine Zeta Jones plays Martha, a world famous chef known for running a tight, efficient kitchen who must adapt her life to her shy niece. Also challenging her orderly life is the new chef in town, Nick Palmer, played by Aaron Eckhart. Nick enjoys creating culinary delights based on a whim and lives spontaneously. The clashing personal and professional styles of Martha and Nick suggest they’d be like oil and water but perhaps something else simmers below the surface.

Playing the role of the niece is Oscar nominated child actress, Abigail Breslin from last year's Little Miss Sunshine. (D. James Ruccio/BOP)
