You seem nice, but Bill Murray has warned me about you.

On the Big Board
Position Staff In Brief
6/47 Amanda Jones From a perspective of style alone, this film was really almost perfect.
16/52 Les Winan You can't ask for a better cast, with terrific work by Hartnett in particular. The film is nice and twisty, and the payoff actually pays off.
27/159 David Mumpower Sleek underworld caper is a movie Guy Ritchie would be proud to claim as his own.
29/68 Michael Bentley It's a stupid title, but Slevin's story is stylish, fun, and well-paced. It tries a little too hard in the end though.
29/65 Kim Hollis Surprisingly solid. Snappy dialogue and twisty plot make it an enjoyable trip.

Digg Button
Josh Hartnett reunites with his Wicker Park director Paul McGuigan on this movie that is set in the underworld, where African-American and Jewish gangsters find themselves in conflict. After Hartnett's character, Slevin, is confused with a friend whose apartment he's staying in, he comes under the thumb of Shloma, aka The Rabbi (Ben Kingsley). The Rabbi informs Slevin that he must assassinate the son of a rival gang leader.

In addition to Hartnett and Kingsley, other performers who will be featured in the film are Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis and Lucy Liu. The screenplay was written by Jason Smilovic, who was a writer on the terrific but doomed television series Karen Sisco. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
