Universal premieres the James Whale-directed Bride of Frankenstein. Colin Clive and Boris Karloff reprise their roles from the first film, with Elsa Lanchester in the title role.

1944:

Warner's cartoon The Swooner Crooner, starring Porky Pig and directed by Frank Tashlin, is released.

1961:

George Clooney is born in Lexington, Kentucky.
