Previously on The Amazing Race, Zach & Rachel had a tough leg due to choosing the wrong person for a Roadblock. They lost by only seconds. The big story of the leg was the fact that the Frisbee dudes came down in the world for the first time in the entire Race. It seems that Kurt has been the backbone of the team thus far, because Brodie is now forced to do the remainder of the Roadblocks for their team. We’ll obviously be continuing to track this story, as a window has definitely been opened for the other two stronger teams in Burnie & Ashley and Tyler & Korey.

Now we’re down to five teams, and tonight’s episode threatens a U-Turn. The good news is that this should mean someone will in fact be eliminated.

Apparently, the teams slept on the boat where they arrived for their Pit Stop. Burnie mentions that it’s the most restful night of sleep he’s had the entire Race. The teams are fairly bunched, but at least the teams are staying within Indonesia for at least the first portion of this leg. Tyler & Korey are first out at 7:45 a.m., and will be headed toward a nearby island called Nusa Lembongan. Once they arrive, they’ll need to retrieve their next clue from an underwater location.

With the news that there will be a U-Turn on this leg, Tyler & Korey’s thoughts immediately go to Brodie & Kurt, who have obviously established themselves as the biggest threat win. Burnie & Ashley are just seven minutes behind them. They agree that the U-Turn is critical, and the two of them expect for it to be used in an offensive matter (rather than defensive).

Within 10 more minutes, both Sheri & Cole and Dana & Matt are out of the gate. Brodie & Kurt are only five minutes after them. It’s going to be all-out war to get to the actual U-Turn area.

When Tyler & Korey pull their clue from the box, they realize that there are only a couple of clues per box, and the boxes are spread out a little bit. The later teams to arrive may have some trouble locating their clue.

Now, teams will make their way to the bottom of the Pura Puseh Stairway. A dancing monkey will apparently hand them their next clue. Actually, it’s a guy in a monkey suit. Don’t pray for Mojo.

Although Burnie & Ashley have no trouble finding their clue, Sheri & Cole struggle a bit. Sheri hasn’t snorkeled in 20 years, and Cole never has. They open two boxes but neither one has what they are looking for. Actually, the underwater clues are a bit tricky because they’re stuck inside canisters and don’t look like what the Racers are used to seeing.

Eventually, Sheri & Cole figure out the puzzle, while Matt is holding a cylinder without understanding what it is. His error in judgment allows Brodie & Kurt to realize that the cylinder is the clue, so they retrieve theirs and are back in their boat while Dana & Matt still are swimming around obliviously. The guys note that they need to stay aware of who is behind them so they can U-Turn someone if necessary.
