Steven Soderbergh calls this film the "unofficial" sequel to sex, lies and videotape. This film looks to be about as unofficial as you can get.

The original cast doesn't appear to be returning. The original characters aren't being used. The premise doesn't seem to be the same or a continuation. In fact, the only thing that seems to be the same is that this film is about sex.

But Miramax has pulled together a top-notch group of stars to appear in this film. Among the celebrities confirmed so far are Julia Roberts, David Duchovny, Blair Underwood and David Hyde Pierce. Miramax is also rushing the production of this film, I believe, to take advantage of Soderbergh's recent success at the Academy Awards. We received word today that Full Frontal is still being edited, and as such, it will be ostensibly delayed to "celebrate the 13th anniversary of sex, lies and videotape." Look for a release in August. (Kim Hollis/BOP)

We're only a couple of weeks away from the film's official release and the different people involved in making the film have somehow managed to keep it mostly shrouded in a veil of mystery. The trailer that was recently released is simply a black screen with credits, along with sound snippets from the various actors. There has been some debate as to whether there will actually be nudity in the film. At various times, it has been rumored that one or both of Julia Roberts and David Duchovny would appear fully naked, but neither seems to be the case. The film has received an R-rating simply for language and sexual content, with no nudity mentioned at all. Time will tell exactly what the finished product may actually be. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
