An all-star cast, including Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore and Ed Harris, headlines this film that tells three stories that are based upon the writings or life of Virginia Woolf.

Director Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot) helms this film, which takes place in three time periods. One story is about the author herself while she's writing her book, Mrs. Dalloway, in the early 1920s. The second story is about a housewife who can't stop reading Mrs. Dalloway and is planning a birthday party for her husband. The third is about a modern-day woman throwing a party for her friend who's dying of AIDS, who gave her the nickname Mrs. Dalloway. Are you picking up a theme here?

This film was previously listed with a release date of December 25, 2001 to qualify for Oscar nominations, but has been postponed to sometime in 2002. (Marty Doskins/BOP)
