Carmen (Natalia Verbeke) is a passionate young woman living in the shimmer of London. She's filled with qualms about marrying her rich but dull boyfriend, Barnaby (James D'Arcy). The coupling couldn't be more unlikely. Carmen is tempestuous and volatile, finding herself fired from a succession of jobs. Meanwhile, Barnaby is emotionally sterile.

It's not long before Carmen finds herself falling for a carefree rake of a young man. Kit, as portrayed by Gael Garcia Bernal, has high hopes that he might become a filmmaker. Because she is allowed one final kiss before she takes her official marriage vows, she selects Kit, and the sparks certainly do fly.

As a result, Kit begins to stalk Carmen to some degree, pursuing her with such insistence that she is soon fired from yet another job. She becomes so disturbed that even the usually unobservant Barnaby notices her strange behavior. From this point, the love triangle takes a number of twists and turns - which man will finally be the one to suit Carmen's true fancy? (Kim Hollis/BOP)
