If you loved Joe Dirt and Black Sheep, the creative types behind those movies have another one for you.

David Spade is a has-been child star who has decided that parking cars for a living has gotten old, and decides to make a try for a comeback in the star machine of Hollywood. Problem is that the powers that be (Scorsese) needs someone who can pull off a part revolving around a person in a Real Family With Real Family Problems, and Dickie's concept of family is about as normal as Michael Jackson's family, minus the veils. His way of handling this situation is to "rent" a family - move in with your typical family and absorb the ambiance of "normality" somehow that he never got as a kid and sort of become "their" kid.

Hilarity ensues, lessons on life are learned, lots of laffs.

To lend some insider jokes to the movie, it's loaded with grownup '70s and '80s Child Stars - Danny Bonaduce, Alyssa Milano, Leif Garrett, Barry Williams, Emmanuel Lewis, and Jerry Mathers as the Beaver. Not to mention Tom Arnold and Corey Feldman...who never grew up. (How Spade can pass himself off as a kid might be interesting.) Probably anyone who is a serious David Spade fan will go for it. (Jim Rittenhouse/BOP)

The director Dickie is trying to impress is in fact Rob Reiner, not Martin Scorsese as previously reported. Interestingly enough, although the whole slew of former child stars mentioned above will be playing themselves, former "Who's the Boss?" star Alyssa Milano will be playing Cyndi, Dickie's sometimes girlfriend. Jon Lovitz plays Dickie's long time agent, while SNL's Rachel Dratch plays Reiner's assistant. (Jennifer Turnock/BOP)
