Many cult movie viewers fondly remember the year 1984. That year brought us not only Breakin', but also its sequel, Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. While some things have changed in the world, others have not, at least in the world of street dancing. The groups are still looking for respect and power. Writer/director Christopher B. Stokes makes his feature film debut with this new movie starring the hip-hop boy band, B2K, Marques Houston from IMx, and a host of other celebrities.

Friends David (Omarion of B2K) and Elgin (Houston) want to open their own hip-hop dance and recording studio, but they lack the necessary funding. They decide to enter a street dancing competition to prove they have the talent to go all the way. But to do that, they have to work harder than ever before and make up some new moves to dazzle the judges. Of course the cash they'll win won't hurt either.

B2K have been making a name for themselves since they burst onto the music scene only a few short years ago. In that short time, they have already put out two platinum-selling CDs, a Christmas compilation, and a remix of their hits. Since they're known for their flashy dance moves on stage, this movie seems like a natural way to showcase their talents. They are also releasing the soundtrack to the film, which will be released by Epic/Sony Music Soundtrax. (Marty Doskins/BOP)
