This CGI production is from Silver Fox Films. It is their first high-profile feature film. They are best known for their work on British television. They've pulled together some impressive voice talent for this movie. Among the stars are Patrick Stewart, Stephen Fry, and Miriam Margolyes. The film also marks the screenwriting and directorial feature-film debut of Graham Ralph, who has also worked on British TV series and shorts.

The story is about a mighty alien empire that decides to send their most fearsome warriors to conquer Earth. There's one little problem: The aliens are small in size compared to humans. But through their observations, they decide that the frogs and other amphibians that live in the pond where they land are the dominant life form on Earth. The aliens end up in an all-out battle for control of Earth.

The computer animation was started in spring 2002 in London with a budget of about $17 million. The production was originally scheduled to start in September of 2001, so the release date may get pushed back farther. (Marty Doskins/BOP)
