It's tough to find much information on this film, but here's what we've got. Mark Medoff is at the helm of this adaptation of a short story by Truman Capote. The film takes place in the summer of 1947 in Medda, Alabama. A mysterious girl, Libby Bobbitt (Tania Raymonde), and her mute mother move to town. Two local boys take a liking to the girl and the adventure begins. Eventually, they team up to outsmart con man Lionel Quince (Tom Arnold), who has come to town. The film also stars Christopher McDonald (TV's Family Law and the movie Perfect Storm) as racecar driver Speedy Thorne. The film has been shown at some film festivals. It won the Platinum Award for Independent Theatrical Feature Films-Family/Children at the 2002 WorldFest in Houston. (Marty Doskins/BOP)
