Do you like Bollywood movies? How about Kung Fu flicks? If you said "yes" to both of these, your dream is about to come true. Chandni Chowk to China is the first ever Bollywood Kung Fu comedy, offering viewers a madcap journey that will either be totally awesome or completely weird. Or perhaps both.

The story's hero is Sidhu, a guy who cuts vegetables at a roadside stall in Delhi. He might remind you of a panda named Po. Like the protagonist of Kung Fu Panda, he yearns for something more. Much more. And like Po, he is believed to be a mighty warrior.

Two strangers from China tell Sidhu that he is the reincarnation of a war hero and they'd like him to return to their country with him. Sidhu believes that he's due for the good life - attention from hot women, liquor and essentially a world where he'll live like a kind. What his new "friends" don't tell him is that they are actually taking him away to help them rid their village of the notorious smuggler Hoju. Needless to say, this all comes as a big surprise to Sidhu and he is exposed as a bit of a fraud. But Sidhu doesn't take this lying down. Instead, he seeks out a learned teacher of Kung Fu and becomes an expert so that he can free the village - and perhaps find a little love and laughter along the way.

Warner Bros. Pictures plans a surprisingly wide release for this film, and it will be fascinating to see how it is received. It's definitely a unique proposition, which means it bears watching. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
