The hit Comedy Central series makes its way to the big screen as the deputies of the Washoe County Sheriff's Department attends a law enforcement convention in Miami. While there, they are charged with protecting the Florida city when bioterrorists attack the convention.

For those unfamiliar with the show, it began airing in 2003 and was created by Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon (writers of Night at the Museum, Herbie Fully Loaded and The Pacifier), along with Kerri Kenney, who the duo had previously worked with on The State. Some compare the series to the Broken Lizard cult comedy Super Troopers, while other claim either one or the other is funnier. Reno 911! is really a Cops-style parody, featuring a flamboyantly gay supervisor who insists on wearing shorts, one police officer who really *believes* in brutality as a form of enforcement, a racist manic-depressive, a redneck, a ladies man, a black "bootylicious" cop and a former magician's assistant. Whether its audience will translate to the big screen, but if Strangers With Candy could do it, why not Reno 911!?
