Like most SNL cast members, Will Forte looks to make the transition from small screen fame into full blown movie stardom. His first attempt is the distinctly unfunnily titled The Brothers Solomon.

The Brothers Solomon is the story of two brothers, Dean and John Solomon, who spent their childhood being home schooled in an isolated arctic locale. Lacking any social skills, especially when it comes to attracting women, the brothers set out to find a woman to have their baby to fulfill the wish of their dying father.

The script was penned by Forte as well. Let’s hope that Will Ferrell gave him some notes. Giving us some hope, however, is the presence of the hardest working man in comedy these days, Will Arnett (check out his IMDb entry sometime) and Chi McBride.

Then again, the trailer features the theme song from St. Elmo’s Fire in what appears to be a serious fashion… (D. James Ruccio/BOP)
