Originally premiering at the Sundance Film Festival, Punks is a look into the lives of four gay African-American men in LA. This low-budget romantic comedy is one of the first movies to ever tackle the themes and settings of gay African-American men. First-time director Patrik-Ian Polk also wrote this story, which focuses on four men whose different personalities and experiences help each other grow and find their place in the world romantically and emotionally. Set for a limited release, this movie will likely see a small run in very few markets before heading to video store shelves. (Walid Habboub/BOP)
