Marc Forster follows up his Academy Award-nominated Finding Neverland with this thriller. Ewan McGregor portrays a psychologist at an Ivy League university whose student (Ryan Gosling)announces that he plans to commit suicide in three days. As the professor attempts to treat the patient, the young man begins to make strange and horrifying predictions that start coming true, much to the fear and consternation of the psychologist. As he attempts to help the young man, they both find themselves journeying through the city through a series of nightmarish episodes.

Along with McGregor and Gosling, Naomi Watts also stars as the girlfriend of McGregor's character. Janeane Garafolo and Bob Hoskins also have supporting roles. The screenplay was written by David Benioff, who handled the scripts for Troy and The 25th Hour. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
