Digg Button
Darrell (Usher Raymond) is the hottest DJ in the nightclubs of New York, but that all changes when he saves the life of a mob boss (Chazz Palminteri). To reward the young man for his bravery, the don hires Darrell to watch over his gorgeous daughter, Dolly (Emmanuelle Chriqui).

Things are all going swimmingly, but naturally, it's not long before the sparks begin to fly between Dolly and Darrell despite their cultural differences. Making matters even more complicated, Dolly's father naturally has forbidden any romantic relationship between the pair. Still, he's preoccupied with other business, from stopping a potential war with a rival and keeping a young challenger to his throne under control.

While Usher is certainly an up-and-coming young talent, this Lions Gate film doesn't really boast any name talent to speak of. Making matters more concerning is the fact that the film is being directed by the same guy who brought us The Adventures of Pluto Nash. Nonetheless, if the comedy is marketed well, it has potential to break out amongst a youthful audience. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
