Position Staff In Brief
26/159 David Mumpower Warm and witty B-movie celebration of teen spirit consistently entertains.
29/47 Amanda Jones A smidge above flat and average owing to some decently snarky dialogue.

Jessica Bendinger, who might be best known for writing the screenplay to Bring It On, will make her feature film directorial debut with this Disney flick aimed at the teen set. Set in the world of gymnastics, it's a film that will look to follow in the vein of earlier releases from the studio such as Ice Princess and The Greatest Game Ever Played.

In the story, a rebellious young woman (Missy Peregrym) gets in some trouble, and in order to help her straighten out, she's forced to join a team of gymnasts. The thought is that the regimented coaching technique will provide some consistency in her life. Jeff Bridges will portray the coach of the team, which under his watch tends to strictly abide by the rules. Once the rebel comes aboard, though, she brings her unruly ways with her. Naturally, she has a huge impact on her team, as they take to her wild ways. Along with Peregrym and Bridges, Vanessa Lengies will also star as a rival gymnast. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
