Written and directed by Eric Small, The Dust Factory is a life-affirming tale that depicts the fading art of youth finding nourishment from older, wiser folks. Not only does it show a boy being mentored by his grandfather through his life struggles, but the youngster also learns to embrace the mysteries that surround him. The boy also has a close friendship with a girl his age, and they help each other through a difficult struggle.

The film's rising young stars include Ryan Kelley, Hayden Panettiere (Raising Helen) and Michael Angarano (young William Miller in Almost Famous). Armin Mueller-Stahl is the grandfather. Former thirtysomething hottie Peter Horton is also featured. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
