Comics Weekly
Another really solid week for comics!
Trailer Hitch
This week: Tilda Swinton steals innocent children, Michael Cera’s awkward demeanor woos the ladies and Rob Zombie’s Halloween sequel looks impressive.
Mythology
One trend that really bugs me, and this is by no means limited to mythology shows, is sophomore season backlash.
How Well Do You Know: Wedding Crashers
Not your typical romantic comedy, Wedding Crashers nonetheless served up bawdy laughs with a surprisingly sweet love story. Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson made a great on-screen duo, Rachel McAdams sparkled and Isla Fisher made a memorable impression in her first notable role. You may never look at Jane Seymour the same way again after seeing this movie, but how well do you know Wedding Crashers?
Movie of the Day: Sherlock Holmes
Big Picture of the Day: Chiwetel Ejiofor
Take Five
Something wicked this way comes and, no, it’s not Voldemort.
How to Spend $20
This week: a lot of really crappy, uninteresting stuff becomes available on DVD. Seriously, there is hardly anything worth your time, but just in case you're a completionist, here's a rundown.
The Amazing Race Recap
Previously on The Amazing Race, we learned that deaf people don't like being called bitches. We also learned women don't like being elbowed in the face.
How Well Do You Know: The Wedding Singer
The Wedding Singer - released in 1998 during the height of Adam Sandler's movie stardom - tells the story of singer Robbie and waitress Julia, who are both engaged, but not to each other. Will they discover during the course of their friendship that they are involved with the wrong people? Will they admit their love for each other and grow old together, or is it too late? How well do you know The Wedding Singer?
Big Picture of the Day: Kate Beckinsale
Weekend Forecast
Now this is more what we're used to with an April opening weekend. After the unusually strong run of spring films, studios are bailing on the last weekend of April in order to duck the coming May blockbusters.
Classic Movie Reviews
This week's entry is To Catch a Thief, a favorite of many around the BOP offices.
This is So Last Week: 4/17/09-4/23/09

Survivor Recap
Brendan's dismissal means that overachiever Sierra is probably at the end of her run.
How Well Do You Know: Die Another Day
James Bond's twentieth movie was his biggest and most ridiculous yet. It features an ice palace, DNA replacement, a new Aston Martin that makes the DB5 look like a station wagon and possibly the worst CGI ever put on screen. Sex for dinner, death for breakfast, how well do you know Die Another Day?
How Well Do You Know: NFL Draft Trivia
One member of our staff (okay, it's me) is a complete and total draft slut. Are you like me? Are you one of the 40 million annual viewers who tune in to the NFL Draft to see who is going to boom, who is going to bust and who is going to be the next Peyton Manning/Tom Brady? Trailer Hitch
This week: All documentaries! Take a peek at five true stories coming to a theater near you (or maybe not, depending on their rollout) this year and next.
How Well Do You Know: Who Died? Part III
The rules here are simple. We are going to discuss 25 movies. You will be given a list of names. You must pick the character that was certified dead at the end of the film. There will obviously be spoilers in this. So, we have picked titles that are at least 12 months old to avoid ruining more recent titles for you. Good luck!
Stay on your toes - occasionally we'll ask you to identify the character that didn't die.
Movie of the Day: Armored
Big Picture of the Day: Jon Favreau

Another day, another new column at BOP. Mythology, our exploration of all the labyrinthian tv shows and their plots, makes its debut.
How Well Do You Know: Slumdog Millionaire
Slumdog Millionaire. Ever heard of it? Thought so. The Danny Boyle sensation went on to win just about every major movie award the world had to offer in 2008 and 2009. So let's get right to it. How well do you know Slumdog Millionaire?

How Well Do You Know: Twilight (Twi-Harder Version)
Stephenie Meyer's break-out book about immortal, chaste vampires made its way to the silver screen. Millions of Twilight fell all over themselves to watch Bella and Edward come to life (so to speak) in theaters. How well do you know Twilight the Movie?

Are You With Us?
With Are You With Us?, we ask one of BOP's newest writers to watch a film we have either celebrated or mocked in the past to find out whether they agree with us or not.
How Well Do You Know: About a Boy
Weaving rather effortlessly through a duel narrative comparing and contrasting the stories of a man who still behaves as a child and a child that is forced to be a man, this 2002 British comedy is an extremely compelling film. In what may be one of the only Hugh Grant movies most men will willingly watch more than once, there really is only one question left: How well do you know "About A Boy"?
Big Picture of the Day: Ashton Kutcher
Comics Weekly
Zombies rule the landscape today. Finally, all of that Resident Evil practice pays off.
Review: Duplicity
Duplicity sells itself as a slick, romantic caper with two attractive leads - Julia Roberts and Clive Owen. But there's actually more to it than that.

You know their faces, you know their names. Do you know their roles? We'll give you the names of four roles played by famous film actresses. Can you match the actress with the women they played? How Well Do You Know: Hoosiers
Hoosiers is a gem of a film. It is an ode to
leadership and teamwork, sacrifice and redemption. Gene Hackman, Barbara Hershey and Dennis Hopper all give wonderful performance in this, one of the great sports movies. You may know how many times to pass the ball before the team can shoot, but how well do you know Hoosiers?

The best sci-fi films are about big, sweeping, sometimes mind blowing ideas.
Hollywood Psych
Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino is a very odd project and a very odd film.

Trailer Hitch
This week: Miley Cyrus casts Hannah Montana to the side, Michael Caine plays an old guy, and Where the Wild Things Are absolutely delights.
How Well Do You Know: The Fast and the Furious
What Ben-Hur did for chariot races, The Fast and the Furious did for illegal street racing. Well, that may be a stretch. Plot and character development took a back seat (see what I did there?) to gratuitous shots of keen cars going waaaaay too fast. You may be bummed that your tricked-out ride tops out at 140 mph, but how well do you know The Fast and the Furious?
Movie of the Day: Public Enemies
Big Picture of the Day: Val Kilmer
