Remember last week? Second verse, same as the first.

We return to The Void, which means that nothing new was released (unless you count a Schindler's List re-release that finished in outside the top 12). Since Thanksgiving was early in November, we had an extra weekend over what most years offer. So, studios are cautiously holding off until next weekend so that they can take advantage of the Christmas season bonanza.

So, once again, Ralph Breaks the Internet will be our number one movie of the weekend. Yesterday, it earned $3.5 million, down 39 percent from last Friday. Even though it likely won't attain the desired heights Disney had in mind, this is still going to be a great result for the Mouse House. (And remember, they've got all kinds of Ralph/Vanellope merchandise for the holiday season, so that's an extra added bonus. The weekend total is looking to be $16 million, putting the film around the $140 million mark.

Animation rules the movie world, as The Grinch will take the second place spot for the weekend after earning $3.3 million yesterday, a decline of just 15 percent. This one should continue to play throughout the holiday season, and a weekend total of $158 million means it's actually going to be SUPER close between it and Ralph.

Creed II is our other Thanksgiving holdover, and it dropped 42 percent from last Friday to $2.8 million. Look for the Michael B. Jordan film to finish with $10.8 million.

Our lone new opener last weekend, The Possession of Hannah Grace, fell a mighty 63 percent and garnered $940,000 yesterday. $2.6 million is about the best it can hope for.

In case you're wondering, Schindler's List did earn about $230,000 yesterday. It's not going to manage much more than a million, but it's surely an important movie for people to see.

Let us all rejoice that next weekend brings the 100 percent fresh Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Thank goodness. Mortal Engines is coming, too, but reviews haven't been kind thus far.
