For people who didn’t think continuous discussion with Ethan Hawke would be so interesting: Before Sunrise (New Packaging)

I don’t know that there’s another movie out there quite like Before Sunrise that spins modern storytelling on its head. Starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy, the movie follows the pair as they explore Vienna together after a chance meeting on a train. The whole thing takes place over the course of an evening, and is really little more than their conversations with each other – and whatever they happen to strike up in the limited time they share.

And that, my friends, is the magic of Before Sunrise. It’s a movie about an idea that sounds better as an idea than it does a movie. And yet as you’re watching the thing, you find yourself completely engrossed in the characters and their stories. You get to know them, respectively, at about the same time that they get to know each other.
