It's a big week for Secret Invasion as well as the two new Stephen King books, as the third series of Dark Tower books and the first series of The Stand books start. Look for Amazing Spider-Man to continue to sell out with the Anti-Venom storyline continuing. Deadpool finally starts a new series and that will sell out as well.

Might I recommend the Gotham Central Hardcover that comes out this week? It's great crime stuff from Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka dealing with the men and women of the Gotham Central Police Department.

Kim's Picks

I'm still working to get caught up to the point where I can read Secret Invasion, so my recommendations this week are pretty thin. I'll go ahead and give the continued thumbs up to Green Arrow/Black Canary, which is now on issue #12. The final issue of Dead She Said also issues this week. It's a noir tale from the mind of Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) who partners with the great artist Bernie Wrightson. If you're a fan of Niles, you might also want to check out Epilogue #1, a new book that has him teaming with artist Kyle Hotz. It has Niles back to dealing with creatures of the night, an area where is quite comfy.

Also, I'm sure you can't go wrong with the Stephen King books. I'm probably going to wait to read those in trade paperback form, though.
