2008 Reader Awards: Best Album
March 5, 2008
This year readers chose the full spectrum of colors over the absence of all color, as Radiohead's In Rainbows bested Amy Winehouse's Back to Black by 7%. About 20% behind Wino-house were 2007 albums by Arcade Fire and Kanye West, and about 20% behind them was Nano saleswoman of the year, Feist.
Okay, let's review. You love Radiohead, we like Radiohead. You like Amy Winehouse, we kind of like Amy Winehouse. You like Arcade Fire, we love Arcade Fire. You like Kanye West, we ... like The National. The
similarities don't stop there, as albums by Feist, LCD Soundsystem, Spoon, and The Shins did well with readers and staff alike.
