Pete Kilmer has been in the comics retail industry for ten years as a member of Downtown Comics in Indianapolis. Downtown Comics is one of the Midwest's largest comic retailers with over four locations in Indianapolis. All opinions are his own, and they cannot be bought with free swag. Beer and a walk on role on Chuck to steal Sarah from Chuck and I'm bought...

So Ultimates #1 of the third series came out last week. Yea,h I'm going to blast it; it's probably one of the worst books that Marvel has put out this year. Joe Mad's art was actually quite good, I thought, though it looked like the book was colored in a mud pile. Everything was brown and looked horrible because of it. And don't get me started on the story...we had a pretty blatant sex tape scene with Tony Stark and Black Widow and the Wasp tells Captain America that Quicksilver is in love with Scarlet Witch. So now we have incestuous relationship in a main Marvel Comics book. I'm just shocked that this passed Editorial at the Marvel Offices. This is a major, major letdown for me as The Ultimates was one of my favorite titles. I really wish Jeph Loeb and Joe Mad and the team had taken a different tack with this book. It's just a shame. Of course it sold out all four locations of our stores in Indianapolis. So what do I know? Anyway let's get into it...
