Bello, Breslin board indie adaptation
Maria Bello, Abigail Breslin and Samuel L. Jackson will star in Rape: A Love Story, an indie drama from helmer Harold Becker (Domestic Disturbance). The project, based on a Joyce Carol Oates novella published is 2003, is about a mother (Bello) who is stalked by people who brutally raped her. Jackson will play the cop who protects her, and Breslin will be Bello's 12-year-old daughter. John Mankiewicz (House) penned the screenplay.
