Borat scribe attached to remake
Peter Baynham will pen Arthur, a remake of the 1981 comedy for Warner Bros. Baynham previously worked with Sacha Baron Cohen on Borat and again on the upcoming Bruno.

Russell Brand wants to update Arthur
Russell Brand is developing a remake of 1981 comedy Arthur for Warner Bros. The project may turn into a potential star vehicle for the Brit comedian. The original story was about a boozy rascal who will inherit a large sum of money if he marries an heiress his family approves of. However, when Arthur falls in love with a working-class woman, his family makes him choose between love or money. Brand is currently meeting with writers to pen the project.
