Jose Canseco's Book is Optioned
First he was on top of the Major League Baseball world, winning the 1988 AL MVP award and then a World Series ring, then he became a laughingstock, then he wrote a book about steriod use in baseball, and now he is going to Hollywood. Jose Canseco's controversial tell-all book Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant 'Roids, Smash Hits and How Baseball Got Big has been optioned for adaptation by Nine Yards Entertainment. Kipp Marcus, who Canseco hand-picked after reading his screenplay about Buster Keaton, will writ the script. The book sparked major controversy in the sports world last year after Canseco detailed his own steriod use plus alleged that many of the other big names in the game were also users.
