DW Trades for Paper Clip
Dreamworks has greenlit the real-life celebrated story of a Canadian man who managed to turn one red paper clip into a series of trades that eventually netted him his very own home. One Red Paper Clip was the name of Kyle MacDonald's website that he created in 2005, named after the paper clip that held together the unemployed man's resume and symbolizing his relative worth at the time. He soon traded the clip for a pen. That became a custom-made doorknob, which in turn was traded for a camp stove. Eventually he was able to trade a film role in Corbin Bernsen's Donna on Demand for a two-story farmhouse in Kipling, Saskatchewan.
