Writer hired for Scott Pilgrim
Universal Pictures has hired scripter Michael Bacall to adapt the graphic novel Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life for the big screen. Edgar Wright, who previously directed Shaun of the Dead, will helm the project. The story centers on a character named Scott Pilgrim, a suburban slacker who finds himself having to battle his girlfriend's seven dead boyfriends in order to keep her as his own. Kung fu is involved.

Edgar Wright has Precious Little Life
Edgar Wright, co-writer and director of Shaun of the Dead, is in negotiations to direct Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life for Universal Pictures. Based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novel Scott Pilgrim Volume 1: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life, the movie will center on a young slacker who meets the woman of his dreams. To win her love, he must battle and defeat her seven evil boyfriends.
