Miramax and Dimension get their Opus
Miramax and Dimension Films have signed an agreement with Wild Brain to co-finance and co-produce a series of CGI-animated films. The first one out of the gate will be Opus, a story based on the beloved, wise-cracking penguin from Berkeley Breathed's Bloom County and Opus comic streeps. A script from Craig Mazin (Scary Movie 3) is due to be turned in next week, and the film should be underway in fairly short order. Breathed has even already done character designs and some
animatronic tests.
