New Line to make Off Broadway adaptation
New Line won a bidding war for Rock of Ages, a hit stage musical propelled by '80s rock anthems popularized by the likes of Twisted Sister, Joan Jett, Journey, Pat Benatar and Foreigner. Chris D'Arienzo, who wrote the Off Broadway show, will write and direct the adaptation. The story is about a man and woman who fall in love but get torn apart by the rock lifestyle. It takes place at a rock club named Rock of Ages.
