Sony picks up Charlie Kaufman's Synecdoche
Sony Classics will handle distribution for Charlie Kaufman's latest, Synecdoche, New York. Marking Kaufman's directorial debut, the feature stars Philip Seymour Hoffman as a theater director who finds himself at the center of another Kaufman fantasy. Catherine Keener and Samantha Morton also star. The company expects to release the film in October.
