Fox, WB share Millionaire
Fox Searchlight will share distribution with Warner Bros. in Danny Boyle's next feature, Slumdog Millionaire. The project, based on a true story about a poor Indian boy who strikes it rich on the Subcontinental version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, was originally planned to be distributed by Warner Independent Pictures, which folded earlier this summer. Under the new deal, WB and Searchlight would buy 50 percent stakes in the film.
