Marcus Raboy grabs comedy director's seat
Marcus Raboy will direct Janky Promoters alongside actors Ice Cube, Mike Epps and Terry Crews. The foursome previously worked together in 2002's Friday After Next. Production begins early next week in Sherman Oaks, California, though the film is set in Modesto.

Ice Cube to star as a cowardly music promoter
Janky Promoters, Ice Cube's first script since the Friday series, was picked up by Dimension Films. The film, which Cube will also star in, is about two music promoters who get the chance to book a big-name music artist for a midsized California venue, but find themselves ill equipped to complete the task.
