Weinstein teams up with Allen
The Weinstein Co. picked up North American rights to Vicky Cristina Barcelona, a new romantic comedy/drama from Woody Allen (Match Point). It stars Scarlett Johansson (Match Point) and Rebecca Hall (The Prestige) as two Americans vacationing in Barcelona, and who come into contact with an artist (Javier Bardem) and his wife (Penelope Cruz). The film is expected to be released in 2008.
