Universal takes Truth overseas
Universal Pictures International acquired all international distribution rights to This Side of the Truth, Ricky Gervais' comedy about a man who lives in a world where lying doesn't exist. Warner Bros. already owns its domestic distribution. Production begins April 14 in Boston.

Four more in for Gervais comedy
Ricky Gervais (HBO's Extras) continues to add new comedy talent to This Side of the Truth, a film he co-wrote and will co-direct with Matt Robinson. Tina Fey (NBC's 30 Rock), Christopher Guest (For Your Consideration), Jeffrey Tambor (Fox's Arrested Development) and John Hodgman (Comedy Central's The Daily Show) all landed roles in the film about a world in which the concept of lying doesn't exist. The actors will join previously announced cast members Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe, Jonah Hill and Louis C.K.

Hill, Louis C.K. move into the neighborhood
Jonah Hill (Superbad) and comedian Louis C.K. (Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins) will play neighbors to Ricky Gervais in This Side of the Truth, a comedy from the writer-director team of Gervais and Matt Robinson. In the film, Gervais will play a man who lives in a world where lying doesn't exist. Production is expected to begin in April.

Lowe learns the Truth
Rob Lowe (ABC's Brothers & Sisters) signed on to star in This Side of Truth, a comedy from the co-writer and co-director team of Ricky Gervais (HBO's Extras) and Matt Robinson. In the film, Gervais will play a man who lives in a world where lying doesn't exist. Gervais learns how to lie to win Garner's heart. Lowe will play Gervais' arch nemesis.

Garner swears to tell the Truth
Alias alumna Jennifer Garner is in negotiations to star in This Side of the Truth, a film to be co-written and co-directed by Ricky Gervais (Extras), who will also star in the feature. Matt Robinson will serve as the other writer-director. In the film, Gervais will play a man who lives in a world where lying doesn't exist. Gervais learns how to lie to win Garner's heart.
