Brolin, Hirsch, Franco drink Milk
Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men), Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild) and James Franco (Spider-Man 3) are in final talks to star in Milk, a Gus Van Sant-helmed biopic co-starring Sean Penn (All the King's Men). The film, to begin filming in January, is about the country's first openly gay elected official, who was assassinated in 1978.

Penn to star in Milk
Milk, a biopic about slain gay rights leader Harvey Milk, will begin filming in January in San Francisco, and Sean Penn is attached to star. Dustin Lance Black (Big Love) wrote the screenplay, and Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting) will direct.
