Marsden gets in The Box
James Marsden may star opposite Cameron Diaz in horror film The Box, an adaptation of a short story by Richard Matheson called Button, Button. If signed, Marsden will play Diaz's husband. In the Richard Kelly-directed film, the couple discovers a box that gives them hefty amounts of cash if they push a button on the box. However, by pushing the button, someone they don't know will die.

Sonnenfeld opens The Box
Barry Sonnenfeld is in talks with 20th Century Fox to direct their supernatural action film The Box. Evan Spiliotopoulos is writing the screenplay, which is centered on the myth of Pandora's box. The story follows a college graduate who is tricked into opening Pandora's Box, which allows the evil things inside to come free. He then has to team with Pandora to save the world from utter destruction. Fox is fast tracking The Box as a summer event film.
