Nealon to take on aliens
Kevin Nealon (Showtime's Weeds) joined the cast of They Came From Upstairs, a sci-fi adventure comedy from Fox. In it, he will play the patriarch of a family who tries to fend off an alien invasion during their vacation in Maine. Other cast members include Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical 2) and Gillian Vigman (Deck the Halls). The comedy will be directed by John Schultz (Like Mike).

Director Hired From Upstairs
20th Century Fox has hired Thor Freudenthal to direct They Came From Upstairs, from writer Mark Burton (Madagascar; Wallace and Gromit). The story focuses on some kids who are trying to defend their Maine vacation home from aliens who invaded the upstairs. Producer Barry Josephon says that the tone of the script reminds him of Men in Black.
