Romero to Raise Dead Again
Horror legend George A. Romero will write and direct a fifth film in his zombie world, George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead. It follows 1968 cult classic Night of the Living Dead, popular sequel Dawn of the Dead from 1978, 1985's Day of the Dead, and 2005's Land of the Dead. Romero will use a mix of story ideas, incorporating elements from The Blair Witch project with his Dead series. The story will be about a group of college students shooting a horror movie in the woods who come across a real zombie onslaught. After they are attacked, they naturally start filming the terror in a "cinema verite" style. Romero aims to independently finance the film, after more than two decades of working within the studio system.
