Stars sign on for Evening
Vanessa Redgrave, Claire Danes and Toni Collette will star in the Focus Features adaptation of the Susan Minot novel Evening. Lajos Koltai is directing from a screenplay Minot co-wrote with Michael Cunningham (author of The Hours and A Home at the End of the World). The movie will tell the story of 65-year-old cancer patient Ann Grant Lord (Redgrave). Her two daughters (Danes and Collette) struggle with her impending death and contend with personal issues while Ann reflects on a weekend in her youth when she met the love of her life.
