Arteta to direct Cera comedy
Miguel Arteta (The Good Girl) is in final talks to direct Youth in Revolt, a star vehicle for Superbad's Michael Cera based on a novel by C.D. Payne. In it, Cera plays a sexually obsessed teen living in a world of moronic adults.

Dimension goes into Revolt
Dimension Films has acquired rights to to produce Youth in Revolt, a film that will be based on the book by C.D. Payne. The book was originally self-published and is described as a cross between Portnoy's Complaint and American Pie. Gustin Nash wrote the screenplay. The movie will go into production in 2006 and is likely to carry an R rating once it is all said and done.
