Scarlett Johansson has joined the cast as the female lead in The Prestige. Christopher Nolan is directing the film, which has already cast Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Michael Caine and David Bowie. The movie centers on two competing magicians who attempt to one-up each other in an attempt to catch the attention of a woman.

Bowie has Prestige
David Bowie has joined the cast of Christopher Nolan's film The Prestige. The Touchstone/Warner Bros. film had already signed Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale and Michael Caine for primary roles. The story centers on two competing magicians who are working in competition to pull off the ultimate magic trick. Bowie will portray Nikola Tesla, the inventor and electrical wizard. One of the magician approaches him for help in their quest.

Caine has Prestige
Michael Caine has joined the cast of the Christopher Nolan-directed The Prestige, reuniting him with the Batman Begins director and also his co-star, Christian Bale. Hugh Jackman also stars in the film. Caine will play a magician who teaches some tricks to Jackman's character, who has found himself in a heavy-duty rivalry with Bale's character.

Jackman, Bale to star for Nolan
Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale are in talks to star in The Prestige for director Christopher Nolan. The story begins in 1878 and centers on two magicians who are in a battle with one another for trade secrets. Things get so involved that eventually, the two of them become murderers. Jonathan Nolan adapted the screenplay from a novel by Christopher Priest.
