Cotillard has a Good Year

Marion Cotillard will star opposite Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott's A Good Year. Based on the novel by Peter Mayle, the movie centers on failed London financier Max Skinner (Crowe). He movies to France to take care of a vineyard he has inherited from an uncle. While there, he meets a beautiful California woman (Cotillard) who says she is a long-lost cousin and makes her own claim to the property. Other stars in the film will be Albert Finney, Aaron Eckhart, Tom Hollander and Didier Bourdon.

Finney has a Good Year

Albert Finney has signed to star in A Good Year for director Ridley Scott and Fox 2000. He'll star alongside Russell Crowe in the movie that is based on a novel by Peter Mayle. The story centers on Max Skinner (Crowe), a London businessman who quits his business when he inherits a vineyard in the south of France. Finney will portray Henry Skinner, Max's uncle and a one-time owner of the property.

Crowe has a Good Year

Russell Crowe is in talks with Fox 2000 to star in A Good Year for director Ridley Scott. The movie is based on Peter Mayle's novel by the same name, and centers on an investment banker who gets sacked, then moves to Provence to take over a failing vineyard that had been owned by his recently deceased uncle. That move becomes even more complicated when an unknown American cousin arrives on the scene. Marc Klein wrote the screenplay, which was subsequently rewritten by Ted Griffin and Jez and Tom Butterworth.
