Napoleon Dynamite is a Benchwarmer

Jon Heder, who broke out as the star of 2004's Napoleon Dynamite, will star along with David Spade and Rob Schneider as the third unlucky "athlete" in The Benchwarmers for Revolution Studios. Based on an idea by Adam Sandler, whose Happy Madison is producing, the story centers on three guys who have not been known for their athletic prowess, but join forces for a three-man baseball team to challenge youth teams. Dennis Dugan is directing the film from a screenplay by Allen Covert and Nick Swardson.

Kilborn, Lovitz are Benchwarmers

Craig Kilborn and Jon Lovitz have joined the cast of the Revolution Studios baseball comedy The Benchwarmers. Adam Sandler's Happy Madison production company is producing. The movie is based on an original idea from Sandler and written by Allen Covert and Nick Swardson and tells the story of three men who are trying to cover for their lack of athleticism by creating a three-man baseball team to challenge youth baseball teams. Two of the three men are being portrayed by Rob Schneider and David Spade, while Kilborn will play the coach of a rival team. Lovitz will portray a wealthy benefactor. Dennis Dugan is directing the film.

Dugan is a Bench Warmer

Dennis Dugan (National Security) is set to direct the baseball comedy Bench Warmers for Revolution Studios. The story revolves around three men who were terrible at sports as children, but try to make up for it as adults by forming a three-man team that takes on nine-player youth baseball teams. The script is based on an idea by Sandler and written by Allen Covert and Nick Swardson. Two of the three men will be played by Rob Schneider and David Spade.

Spade and Schneider are Bench Warmers

Revolution Studios has set David Spade and Rob Schneider to star in the Happy Madison-produced comedy Bench Warmers. Though Adam Sandler heads up Happy Madison, he will not be starring in the film. The story is based on an original idea from Sandler and the screenplay was written by Allen Covert and Nick Swardson. It centers on three men who had athletically-challenged childhoods. They try to make up for those shortcomings by putting together a three-man team that challenges nine-player youth baseball teams.
