Cast aboard Saw 2
A number of cast members have joined Saw 2, which began production this week in Toronto. Donnie Wahlberg, Franky G, Glenn Plummer, Beverley Mitchell, Eric Knudsen and Dina Meyer will star alongside already the already signed Emmanuelle Vaugier, Shawnee Smith and Tobin Bell. The movie was written by Leigh Whannel and Darren Lynn Bousman. Bousman is also directing.

Helmer hired for Saw 2
Lions Gate Films and Twisted Pictures have hired Darren Lynn Bousman, a music video director, to direct Saw 2 from his own screenplay. He developed the script with Leigh Whannel and James Wan, who were the writer and director of the original. The movie is aiming for a Halloween 2005 release.

Lions Gate will Saw again
Lions Gate and Twisted Pictures are set to produce a sequel to Saw, the low-budget horror/thriller that made an impressive $18.3 million over its debut weekend. The film is slated to start production in February and will be released on October 28, 2005.
